The Mystery

Your detective agency has seen better days, but escapism is just around the corner. Layton Dedin, the wealthiest business cat in the country, has randomly invited you to take part in the party of a lifetime! What was originally supposed to be a night at paradise quickly becomes another day at work. The moment you enter the mansion's door it is already obvious someone has been killed. With six culprits already partying to their heart's desire when the murder occurred, the job of figuring out whodunit lands in your lap. However, this is not a normal case. The evidence you find ranges from typical to downright bizarre; additionally, odd occurrences keep on preventing you from conducting a proper investigation. One moment the location is perfectly fine while the next moment it has suddenly become covered in cheese or a ticking bomb is found under the table while a clone of you is questioning its existence. Somebody has killed Layton Dedin, but that might not be the only mystery you end up solving.

The Game

Curiosity Killed The Cat is a solo mystery journaling game made with Pandion Games's Hints and Hijinx system. The game is built around finding clues while writing about the complications you face and the bizarre occurrences that happen along the way. Once you have found enough clues, you begin your deduction and try to guess who killed the cat.
